Patagonia

Patagonia is located in the south of the South American continent and since 1902 is divided between Chile and Argentina. There is no precise definition of the region, but generally Patagonia denotes the part south of the Bio-Bio River in Chile and the Rio Colorado in Argentina, and north of the Strait of Magellan. On an area of around 1 million km² live less than 2 million people but about 15 million sheep.
