Pamir Mountains

  The Pamir Mountains (also called the roof of the world) lie in the west of Tajikistan and partly extend to Afghanistan, China and Kyrgyzstan. It is one of the most impressive and beautiful mountain scenery in the world. The Pamiris are a separate nation and practice the most liberal form of Islam - Ismailisms. The hospitality and friendliness of the Pamiris are legendary and a journey through the Pamir Mountains is an unforgettable experience.
